Kirkland Residence
Whole home renovation + interior design
For this Kirkland residence, Brio developed a warm, contemporary interior built around natural wood, strong architectural lines, and a restrained material palette. The design carries from the kitchen and adjoining living spaces into the bathrooms, bedrooms, and other areas of the home, creating continuity from room to room.
In the kitchen, rich wood cabinetry is paired with dark surfaces, deep blue tile, integrated storage, and a generous island that connects the kitchen with the surrounding living space. Custom millwork continues elsewhere in the home, including built-in cabinetry designed to provide storage without disrupting the clean architectural character.
Throughout the residence, warm wood is balanced by black detailing, simple tilework, sculptural lighting, and carefully selected furnishings. Bathrooms continue the same material language through wood cabinetry, graphic fixtures, tile, and streamlined forms, while furniture, artwork, textiles, and lighting introduce softer layers into the living and sleeping spaces.
